Design & Vision

The design was rooted in a refined, layered vision-light, intentional, and detail-driven. From the soft draping overhead to the custom trellis installations and tailored lounge moments, each element was thoughtfully curated to create a space that felt elevated, sophisticated, and effortlessly cohesive. Studio08 carried the hand calligraphy straight onto the tent backdrop, giving the venue a personal, refined look. The custom invitation suite, detailed in the fixtures section, carried the soft blue pattern throughout the weekend. The overall aesthetic echoed the coastal theme with subtle depth and continuity.

Bridal Attire

The bride’s custom Reem Acra gown was a true reflection of her vision-timeless, refined, and deeply personal. Designed during a visit to the designer’s New York atelier, Melissa worked closely with Acra to create a one-of-a-kind piece. The gown featured a high illusion neckline and long sheer sleeves adorned with delicate floral appliqués, which continued throughout the silhouette and onto the dramatic cathedral-length veil. Bridesmaids’ dresses embraced a coordinated yet individualized approach, each choosing her own style in soft shades of light blue. This thoughtful choice created a cohesive look while allowing personality and comfort to shine through.

Floral & Décor

The floral arrangements featured lush greenery paired with classic white roses, white and green hydrangeas, peonies, and ranunculus for a soft, romantic look. The combination felt fresh and timeless, adding an airy elegance that complemented the joyful atmosphere of the coastal celebration. The wedding cake, elegant and eye-catching, featured delicate floral detailing and hummingbirds that tied beautifully into the overall design. With layers of strawberry and almond, it offered a light, flavorful sweetness that felt as joyful and celebratory as the day itself.

Food, Drink & Special Moments

The food and drink experience was both elevated and delicious, adding to the celebration’s lively and joyful atmosphere. Signature cocktails like the Old Fashioned and Cosmopolitan offered a classic yet playful touch, while a variety of passed bites and interactive chef-attended stations-from fresh seafood and lamb to pasta and carved beef tenderloin-created a dynamic and memorable dining experience. Rich sides and a fresh raw bar completed the menu, making it feel abundant, indulgent, and perfectly suited for such a fun celebration. Readings included Genesis 2:18-24 and 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, while ceremony music featured pieces such as Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach) and Canon in D for the bridesmaids. Reception songs ranged from “Burning Love” by Elvis Presley to “Sweet Melissa” by the Allman Brothers.
