Ciara and Niall, a couple with strong roots in the Gaelic Athletic Association, were married on Easter Monday, 21st April 2025. Their black-tie celebration was held at the Galgorm Resort in Antrim, specifically in the venue's Renaissance Suite.

The couple wanted a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere. Photographer Alexandra Barfoot captured the event.

Planning and Venue Selection

Once engaged, choosing the Galgorm Resort was straightforward. The venue is situated just 15 minutes from Ciara's family home. Ciara stated it ticked all their boxes with its beautiful grounds and relaxed feel. They also selected it so Niall's side would not have to travel far after the ceremony.

The ceremony took place in a church noted for its elegant chandeliers and high wooden beamed ceilings. A ritual candle lighting was a highlight. Individual taper candles representing the couple and their families were used to light a central pillar candle, symbolising their union.

Fashion and Beauty Details

Ciara's beauty look was created by Ellen Lunney and Adelle Shirley Hair. It aimed for a chic and effortless vibe. Her wedding gown came from the Belfast boutique Pronuptia. It featured detailed detailing and a sweeping train.

Her mother wore a complementary pink ensemble from The Fashion House in Magherafelt. Niall and his groomsmen wore classic black-tie tailoring from Bogart Menswear in Newry. All stationery for the day was designed by the bride herself.

Personal Touches and Decor

Soft blush tones were woven throughout the day, from the flowers by Designer Lily in Portglenone to the table settings. Seasonal Easter Monday touches included Lindt chocolate bunnies as wedding favours.

In a nod to where they first met, the couple's first dance was to 'San Francisco' by Scott McKenzie. The wedding cake was a single-tier iced creation decorated with edible pearls. It featured a custom metallic script cake topper.

The celebration also included a Champagne tower and a personalised wedding car license plate, which served as a photo prop and keepsake.

Honeymoon and Advice

The newlyweds split their honeymoon between Dubai and the Maldives. Ciara said they loved Dubai and would return for its energy and variety. She found the Maldives beautiful but better suited to couples who prefer resort-based relaxation.

When asked for advice, Ciara urged couples to focus on what matters most to them. "Don't get caught up in trying to please everyone else," she said. Niall advised keeping things simple and enjoying the planning process. He reminded couples that the day is about celebrating together.
