Actor Tobey Maguire served as officiant and best man at his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer's wedding to Geoffrey Ogunlesi in Hawaii, just weeks after their own divorce was finalized.
Tobey Maguire officiated at his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer's wedding to Geoffrey Ogunlesi. The 51-year-old actor pronounced the couple husband and wife at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii on October 10, serving in a dual role as vicar and best man.
Maguire read out congratulations from attendees during the ceremony. He appeared genuinely thrilled in the wedding photos. The couple shared a kiss in a photo from the luxury golf course wedding.
A swift new chapter after divorce
Jennifer Meyer married Geoffrey Ogunlesi less than three weeks after her divorce from Tobey Maguire was finalized. The divorce was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and finalized on September 21, 2026.
Maguire and Meyer, who is 49, announced their separation in 2016 after being married for nine years. They officially terminated their marriage on October 1. Meyer and Ogunlesi, 34, reportedly began their romance in the summer of 2023 and got engaged in August 2024.
High-profile guests and celebrity connections
The Hawaiian wedding attracted a host of A-list attendees. The guest list included Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos, and Kate Hudson with Danny Fujikawa. Courteney Cox and stylist Rachel Zoe were also present, alongside model Vittoria Ceretti.

Despite their divorce, Tobey Maguire and jewellery designer Jennifer Meyer remain closely connected. They share two children: Ruby, 19, and Otis, 17. In a 2025 podcast episode, Meyer called Maguire her 'best friend' and said he and Ogunlesi 'love each other so much'. She has described him as the best dad, the best ex-husband, and the best friend.
Columnist Robert Crampton remarked on the unusual dynamic. "I’m still jealous of lads my wife dated for two weeks back when we were 13," he said. "But what does Maguire do? Not just attend the ceremony, he only goes and officiates proceedings, reading out congrats from all and sundry."
The groom’s background and family
Geoffrey Ogunlesi is the son of Nigerian billionaire investor Adebayo Ogunlesi. He founded his music management firm, The Ogunlesi Group, in 2022. He and Meyer welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, on Father’s Day in June 2026.
