This week brings a look at a new designer bridal collection and a real wedding that beautifully merged cultural traditions. The first story covers the launch of a London-made gown line, and the second details a joyful Iranian-American wedding weekend in Vermont.

New Romanticism Collection Launch

House of Savin has launched The New Romanticism bridal collection at New York Bridal Fashion Week. The London-designed and made gowns were photographed in the historic Old Waiting Room at Peckham Rye Station, a space built in 1865. Designer Andrey Savin stated he wanted the collection to feel confident without losing softness, creating a tension between the romantic and the unexpected.

The collection features contemporary silhouettes, immaculate textiles, and highly considered construction. Savin emphasized the importance of tactile fabrics, noting how they feel in the hand, catch light, hold volume, and move around the body. The shoot was a collaborative workshop with creatives including Team Glam for hair and makeup and Holly & the Dragonfly for floral design. The monumental, worn setting of the station provided a stark counterpoint to the precision of the gowns, creating a visual conversation between old and new.

A Blended Cultural Celebration

Mina and Gage married in June at The Wilburton, a historic inn in Manchester, Vermont, hosting a full weekend of celebrations for family and friends. Their wedding blended Mina's Iranian heritage with a playful, colourful aesthetic, featuring a traditional Iranian Sofreh Aghd ceremony. Mina wore a Maggie Sottero wedding dress with a pearl-stitched cathedral veil, and the decor included cherry red and pink flowers, chartreuse accents, and cartoon illustrations.

The couple chose The Wilburton for its playful personality, historic charm, and ability to host guests for a multi-day event. Gage was drawn to the Vermont location for its proximity to nature. The venue's unique art, including giant statue Egyptian pharaohs lit by a bonfire, added to the festive atmosphere. Mina found her dress at Loretta Bridal Boutique in Naples, Florida, during an intimate appointment with her mother, sister, and young niece. She appreciated the lack of pressure, describing it as a fun afternoon that resulted in finding her gown.
