Princess Sara bint Faisal bin Al Hussein married Ali Murabit Al Sawwaf at Zahran Palace in Amman on Wednesday, September 30. The event continues a recent series of high-profile royal Jordanian weddings held at the same palace.

Queen Rania publicly honored the couple with a multilingual social media tribute. She shared photographs from the ceremony alongside a caption written in both Arabic and English. "With His Majesty today at Zahran Palace during the wedding ceremony of Princess Sara bint Faisal bin Al Hussein and Mr. Ali Murabit Al Sawwaf," she wrote. Queen Rania added, "Congratulations and lots of love to the happy couple!"

Bride’s attire blends modern elegance with inherited royal jewelry

Princess Sara wore an ivory white gown featuring a boat neckline and short sleeves. The dress was adorned with embellished floral detailing. She completed her look with a sheer veil and a significant piece of family jewelry.

The bride wore the Diamond Flower Tiara, an heirloom previously worn by her sisters at their own weddings. The tiara's recent appearances highlight its role in family milestones.

Queen Rania and senior royals attend in symbolic fashion

Queen Rania made a striking appearance in a red Roksanda Maite dress. The gown featured an asymmetrical one-shoulder design and a dramatic draped cape-style back. She attended the ceremony alongside King Abdullah II and Princess Muna. Other members of the royal family were also in attendance. The ceremony, known in Arabic as the Katb Al-Kitab, was a family affair.

Event reflects deeper lineage and recent family milestones

Princess Sara is the daughter of Prince Faisal, the younger brother of King Abdullah, and his first wife, Princess Alia. The couple, who divorced in 2008, have four children together: Princess Ayah, Prince Omar, and twins Princess Sara and Princess Aisha. Princess Sara's engagement to Ali Murabit Al Sawwaf was announced in January 2025, with the Royal Hashemite Court releasing official photographs at that time.

Her twin sister, Princess Aisha, was married at Zahran Palace just the year before. This venue has become a focal point for recent royal celebrations. Crown Prince Hussein also wed Princess Rajwa there in June 2023, in a ceremony attended by royals from across Europe. Another notable piece of jewelry, Princess Muna’s Diamond Loop Tiara, was also present at Princess Sara's wedding.

The Diamond Flower Tiara, worn by Princess Sara, was previously worn by her sisters Princess Ayah in 2014 and Princess Aisha in 2025.
