Katya & Eugen's Killruddery House Wedding
A Moldovan couple celebrated their decade-long journey with a timeless, elegant wedding for 70 guests at Killruddery House in Wicklow, prioritizing

Katya and Eugen married 70 guests at Killruddery House & Gardens in Wicklow on August 29, 2025. The Moldovan couple, living in Ireland for 15 years, planned a day focused on timeless elegance and capturing memories.
Their journey began years earlier. They first met through family, as Eugen was Katya's uncle's neighbour. A friendship lasted around ten years before romance blossomed. Eugen's proposal came during a classic, romantic dinner at the Cliff at Lyons in Kildare.
Planning a Timeless Celebration
From the start, certain elements were non-negotiable. "Beautiful flowers, great photography and videography were very important to us," Katya says. They wanted the atmosphere properly captured. Good weather was a hope. Above all, they desired their guests to feel happy and comfortable.
The historic Orangery at Killruddery House became the instant choice. Its grand glass architecture, flooded with light and surrounded by greenery, provided a romantic backdrop needing little embellishment. The venue's own team curated stunning seasonal floral arrangements, blending the indoor celebration with the gardens outside.
"We wanted the day to feel simple, elegant and timeless," Katya explains. They kept the colour palette classic to avoid trend-led details that might later feel dated. This philosophy extended to their fixtures, ensuring every element coordinated for a cohesive look.
The Vendors Who Brought the Vision to Life
A team of specialists executed the couple's vision. Makeup artist Nicole Harrison and hair stylist Cara Cameron crafted Katya's soft, romantic beauty look. Ethereal music from a harp and vocals filled the Orangery as she walked down the aisle.
Exquisite bespoke stationery from Cypriot studio Amber n' Dust set the tone early. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a custom cake by luxury designer Jana Blake. The guidance of event planners Rosalia Events & Design proved invaluable to the couple.
Capturing the day was the top priority. Photographer Viorica D Photography and videographers Spoiala Brothers worked together to preserve every moment. As night fell, MB Events Group transformed the venue with music for a lively celebration.
Lasting Memories
The true magic, for Katya and Eugen, was simple. "The most special part was simply getting married to our soulmate and having both of our families there together in full," Katya says. Their celebration extended into a month-long honeymoon across the United States, which they highly recommend for truly enjoying the experience. Reflecting on their stats, the couple valued the deep, personal connections over any single detail.
