Dublin couple Sadhbh and Dan planned their wedding in eight months. They held the event for 97 guests at the Marco Pierre White Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook on Midsummers Eve 2026.

Venue and Planning Timeline

The couple set an eight-month planning window. Their main priority was creating a relaxed experience and avoiding heavy travel costs for guests. This led them to choose a venue in their home city. They selected the Marco Pierre White Courtyard Bar & Grill for its intimate vibe, architectural charm, and hidden garden courtyard. Sadhbh said the planning process felt seamless with the help of their celebrant and the venue, almost as if they had a built-in wedding design team.

Bridal Party Attire and Style

The bride wore a structured Bel Air gown by Jane Hill, sourced from The White & Gold boutique. She paired it with Lilith 85 lace ivory heels from Jimmy Choo and a cathedral-length Francesca veil. Her accessories included pearl jewelry and a delicate watch. Makeup artist Bronze & Glow and hair stylist Nadine Walshe completed her look.

The bridesmaids wore dusty rose stretch-satin dresses from Azazie in three distinct silhouettes. Groom Dan wore a classic black dress suit from Louis Copeland. The groomsmen wore rented suits from CT2.

Ceremony and Personal Touches

The ceremony was deeply personal. Violinist Hazel Alexander performed. In an unconventional twist, the bridal party walked down the aisle to Chappell Roan's Pink Pony Club. The ceremony closed with a string rendition of 50 Cent’s Best Friend. Hazel Alexander reportedly informed the couple they were the first to request 50 Cent.

The couple had rings from late family members repurposed at Weirs in Dublin. Friends and family traveled from locations including Perth, LA, Boston, Italy, and Galway.

Reception and Decor

The couple liked that the venue's bar was in the main room, which helped keep guests together. They noted that a separate bar can cause guests to split up. Ironically, guests ended up in the sunny courtyard. Decor was kept minimal. Lynch Florist provided simple florals, and candelabras were used as centerpieces to create a moody feel. Sadhbh said she found aesthetic inspiration on Pinterest, wanting an understated wedding in a venue with its own character.

The celebration included a cake from Good Cookie Dublin and a first dance to Thinking of You by Sister Sledge. The couple's top priority was to enjoy every minute. Their advice to other couples is to focus on the bigger picture and not worry about little details. After the wedding, they honeymooned in Japan.
