Alexandra and Eoin formalized their union with a legal ceremony at Dublin Registry Office in June. Their intimate celebration for 24 guests was followed by a reception at Lena restaurant in Portobello, serving as a prelude to a larger destination wedding planned for France in 2027.

The couple, who met a decade ago at Dublin's Metropolis music festival, are currently based in Dubai. Eoin proposed during a May 2025 road trip in Canada's Banff and Jasper National Parks. The engagement occurred during a morning hike at Lake Minnewanka. "It was a big surprise," Alexandra recounted, describing a private moment with only distant kayakers as witnesses. They celebrated initially with a campfire dinner before moving to the Fairmont at Lake Louise.

Wedding Ceremony Checklist

This Dublin event highlights key elements for a simple, legal ceremony. The couple secured their marriage license at the registry office. They arranged for an officiant to conduct the vows. A photographer, Jenya Johnston, was hired to document the day. A small group of 24 close family and friends served as witnesses and guests.

Bridal Beauty and Attire Timeline

Alexandra's preparation involved professional hair and makeup services on the wedding day. Her look exemplified a high-low styling approach. The outfit combined accessible and designer pieces.

Makeup artist Gillian O’Toole and Ninth Studio hair salon on Baggot Street were responsible for her bridal beauty look.

Reception Styling and Details

Post-ceremony celebrations were held at Lena restaurant. Family members played a key role in decorating the space. Alexandra noted her aunt's significant effort. "My aunty left the drinks to set up the whole room in Lena - arranging the flowers, decorating the room, lighting the candles, everything!" she said. The restaurant staff also received praise for their support.

The styling was described as refined and understated. The room featured gentle lighting. Table settings included napkins tied with burgundy ribbons. Calla lilies were arranged as single-stem floral decorations.

Post-Wedding Plans

The celebration concluded with a two-night stay at The Westbury hotel, a gift from Alexandra's father and his wife Debi. This allowed the couple to unwind after their event. Their next major celebration is already scheduled. They plan a destination wedding for September 2027 at Chateau de Sannes, an organic wine estate in France's Luberon region. The Dublin event served as their official legal "part-one" wedding.
