Sarah Build and Gavin Harper were married on the 14th of March 2026 at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland. Their celebration included 65 guests and masterfully combined formal elegance with a vibrant, fun atmosphere.

The couple's relationship began unconventionally after a date arranged through a dating app. Sarah, from Donabate, Dublin, and Gavin, from Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent, met for a post-work drink in Manchester. What was intended to be a brief meeting stretched into an early-hours conversation in a quirky basement bar, seated on the only available spot-a bed. "It felt easy, natural and exciting from the very beginning," Sarah told One Fab Day.

Gavin proposed three years later at the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal in Porto, Portugal, a location special to them since a 2019 visit. Sarah recounted a humorous moment where a nervous Gavin initially knelt on the wrong knee before correcting himself.

Vision and Venue

Seeking a romantic and elegant but not overly formal setting, they chose Luttrellstown Castle. "It had everything we were looking for: history, character, elegance and that real wow factor," Sarah said. The couple joked that if it was good enough for David and Victoria Beckham, it was good enough for them. Their styling was classic, using lots of white flowers, candlelight, and a palette of ivory, black, and soft green.

Bridal Style and Attire

Sarah's bridal look featured two distinct gowns by designer Eva Lendel, both found during a private appointment at Dublin Bridal House in Rathfarnham. Her ceremony dress was a structural, refined silhouette. For the reception, she changed into a second Eva Lendel gown designed for movement and dancing.

Her accessories included Prada heels, jewellery from Dylan Oaks, hair by stylist Danielle Whelan, and makeup by award-winning artist Danielle Mahon. The bridal party attire was coordinated from several retailers.

Ceremony and Personal Touches

The legal ceremony was conducted by celebrant Jessica Statham and designed to be lighthearted and intimate. Singer Jenny Cullen provided vocals. A deeply personal moment was the inclusion of the song Beyond by Leon Bridges, an artist the couple saw early in their relationship in Manchester.

Photography and videography were handled by Nice2Look, whom Sarah credited for perfectly capturing the day's atmosphere from quiet moments to energetic celebrations. Wedding planner Shannon Reynolds was also noted for going above and beyond.

Floral designer Frog Prince Weddings & Events created architectural flower arrangements for the ceremony and reception, adhering to the spring theme and color palette.

Celebration and Advice

The reception shifted from black-tie to a lively party featuring champagne towers, sparklers, fireworks, and a packed dance floor. The first dance was to Love at First Sight by Kylie Minogue. The wedding cake was by Jens Couture Cakes.

For Sarah, what made the day special was "simply having everyone we love in the one room." She also recommended personalized illustrations as wedding favours. Her advice to other couples was to not sweat the small stuff. "They'll remember how the day felt, so focus on creating an experience that everyone can enjoy," she said.

The couple honeymooned in Mexico, splitting time between Akumal and Tulum across three different hotels.
