Natalie and Grant exchanged vows on 14 June 2025 in a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Joseph Church in Libertyville, Illinois. The couple then welcomed 150 guests to the Cuneo Mansion and Gardens, a historic Italian villa-style estate known for its Gilded Age opulence. The reception, inspired by Versailles, was a grand affair with chandeliers, floral arrangements, and shimmering drapery, all designed to complement the mansion’s ornate interiors and formal gardens. ## The Dress and Personal Touches Natalie’s wedding gown was a custom creation by Netta BenShabu, crafted at Mira Couture in Chicago. The dress featured a corset bodice, removable sleeves, and a sparkling skirt, embodying both sophistication and drama. A sentimental highlight was the bow from her mother’s wedding dress, which was seamlessly integrated into the back of her gown. Natalie’s ensemble included a pearl-adorned veil longer than her train, white tulle and satin heels by Badgley Mischka, and a religious charm from the Vatican sewn into her dress. She also carried a handkerchief from her late grandmother and wore a cross charm from her mother-in-law’s bracelet. Grant wore a custom navy striped tuxedo from TieBar, paired with shoes from Bloomingdales and cufflinks engraved with their dog’s face. The bridal party was equally stylish, with bridesmaids in navy dresses from Alfred Sung and groomsmen in black tuxedos from Men’s Warehouse, accessorized with jewels from Evereve and bouquets from Yanni Design. ## The Ceremony and Reception The couple chose St. Joseph Church for its personal significance-it was where Natalie’s parents had married over thirty years earlier. The ceremony included a unity candle symbolizing the joining of their families and a candle lit in memory of Grant’s late mother. Readings from Tobit and Ephesians were part of the service, which was officiated by Father Emmanuel. The reception at Cuneo Mansion was a lavish affair, with decor that included chandeliers, pipe and drape, lounge furniture, and a printed dance floor. Floral designs by Yanni Design Studio added an opulent yet classic touch, while catering was provided by Catered by Design. The cake came from Deerfields Bakery, and a customized statue of their dog was a playful addition. Stationery was sourced from Minted. ## Wedding Planning and Advice Kim and Kristie of K&K Celebrates helped bring Natalie’s vision to life, aiming for a regal and decadent atmosphere reminiscent of Versailles. The planners emphasized a blend of luxury and warmth, ensuring guests felt welcomed and celebrated. Natalie advised future brides to enjoy every phase of the wedding journey, from dating to marriage, and to avoid unnecessary stress. She also noted that their original budget of $70,000 grew to nearly $200,000 by the end of the planning process. The couple’s gift registry was curated through Bloomingdales, featuring lifelong mementos.
